Syrian warplanes resumed shelling this morning on the norther Syrian city of Aleppo dropping barrel bombs on the Bab Al Hadeed area of the old city and on the Karam Hammoud neighborhood where five people were killed and several others wounded as a result. Four children were also wounded in the Qatorji neighborhood after a barrel bomb landed this morning destroying a residential building.
In the afternoon two air strikes were carried out by regime warplanes on the Al Imam and Deir Hafer areas of Aleppo province leaving four people killed, three of them in Al Imam area, and several wounded among civilians. Shelling by tanks of regime forces targeted also the Masaken Hanano district of Aleppo while a barrel bomb was dropped on the Ard Al Hamra area leaving several people wounded. Air strikes targeted also the Akhtareen and Tal Refaat areas.
In Al Bab town, in Aleppo province, IS released about 83 people from its prisons, activists said.
On the other hand, clashes between opposition and regime forces took place near the citadel and the Masaken Hanano barracks, and regime positions in the Khaldiyeh district were targeted by FSA.
